Hi All,
For a "Support Pack Stack update" of CRM 7.0 EHP4 (NW 7.5) SP12 to higher on same EHP4 level: are the same Preparations steps for the Middleware needed like those needed for a CRM Release Upgrade?
As per SAP Guide for CRM: Upgrade and Update Guide - SAP CRM 7.0 EHP4 (URL: Upgrade and Update Guide - SAP CRM 7.0 EHP4)
Valid for ABAP, it says "You must perform this step before the upgrade downtime begins." so do all those steps (mentioned below from the guide) also apply for SPS update on same CRM 7.0 EHP4 level?
4.2 Preparations for the Middleware: -
- Deregistering CRM_SITE* Inbound Queues
- Checking the Processing of All Messages
- Checking and Stopping R&R Queues
- Deregistering R3A* Inbound Queues
- Preparing the Upgrade of Customer-Specific BDoc Types
6.2 Follow-Up Activities for the Middleware:-
- Post-Upgrade Handling of BDoc Types
- Reregistering CRM_SITE_* Queues
- Implementing an Authorization Concept for the CRM Adapter Framework
- Configuring the E-Mail ID in the MMR_CNTL Table
- Updating SAP Delivered General Filters for Existing Sites
- Regenerating Middleware Services
- Perform BDoc Merge or BDoc Structure Regeneration for Custom Modified BDoc Types
- Checking Middleware Functions (transaction MW_CHECK)
- Reregistering Inbound Queues
- Follow-Up Activities for Customer Enhancements
