Creating RAP-grandchildren nodes in a managed scenario

I am fighting with a three layered business object hierarchy (root node, its children nodes and the children's children nodes/grandchildren nodes). Creating the children with the EML creating-by operation is working. Reading of the grandchildren using reading-by is also working. However, a creating-by operation for the grandchildren fails during developing time with the message "The association "_Grandchild" cannot be used with "MODIFY".

I was looking a configuration error on my side, but I just saw the following sentence in the keyword documentation: "In a managed RAP BO, create-by-association works only on direct child entities. Entities that are part of the same composition tree, but more than one level below the RAP BO root entity, can be read enabled, but not create enabled. In an unmanaged RAP BO, this limitation does not apply".

Does this mean a create-by operation involving children and grandchildren is simply not supported in a managed scenario?

This would be very strange an it seems that such an operation is working in the showcase app.

Hi Felix, is it not possible to create grandchild via create by association from the child entity? From association _Grandchild, it seems like you are trying to create from root entity.

Dear Jessie, thanks for your response . I solved my problem: I similar forget to add „create“ to the association description of the child in the consumption service behavior (it was added to the base service behaviour beforehand)
