Can't we first create a location dimension first and then use that in multiple models? I want to first create the analytic model and then import data into it from excel. In this case, I am unable to use geo map as there is no location dimension detected. I have a dimension with lat, long info as attributes.
I do not want to create the model directly from excel data as I want to re-use some existing dimensions.

Hi Arijit,
As Tammy recommended, you should vote for that idea.
You can prepare a model with Geo location and later import new data using "import data from file" to update measures dimensions and locations.
For HANA live models it's easier as you only need to select what is the calculation with the location.

Julian
