Convert YTD to PERIODIC in SAP BEx Query? or any other possible Ways?

Hi Everyone,

From BPC CONSOLIDATION model, we are pushing values to BW Infocube.

Since BPC Consolidation model is of YTD type, we are pushing the same YTD values into BW Cube.

Now the users want to see the values in PERIODIC in one of the report.

Without changing the existing setup, can we achieve this in BEx query level.

Or Do we have any other ways to achieve this in the reporting side?

Please provide your suggestions on this.

Does your consolidation model have Fiscal Year Period. if yes, then you can create a variable to allow user to select the period for reporting.

Hi Frederic,

I have tried your suggestion in our system.

I was able to calculate periodic values as per the requirement, by creating another variable to get month from 0FISCPER.

Then I have created a formula, based on the month Jan, I was able to calculate periodic values.

In the process, I have created a Restricted Key figure and Calculated Key figure, where I used the same formula.

But it is giving the following error:

[E073(BRAIN_DEV)] Error: Element "": Unique value for fiscal variant needed in global filter.

This was mentioned in the link you shared, where it provided an SAP Note and it is suggesting to go for Customer Exit Implementation.

please provide suggestions on this.
