Controller file for custom section to an object page using extensions

Hi Team,

I created a fiori element V2 custom report and contains both list and object page.

I created a custom section by using "Add a custom section to an object page using extensions" with the help of Guided Development. It added only fragment file but not the controller file.

In that custom section, I added a table ( sap.m.Table ) and need to bind OData via controller.

When I clicked on List page record, it navigates to object page. During loading of object page time, I need to capture the key record from list page and need to use it in Controller file to read its data from OData.

I am not sure which controller file to be created or used to load the data from OData and bind to Table in Fragment.

I am not able to achieve this. Kindly help!.

Hello,

You can create a controller file under webapp folder. Ex.: webapp(folder)>ext(folder)>controller(folder)>ObjectPageExt.controller.js

After this step you need to declare it in your manifest file.

Under 'routing' add this piece of code.

Thanks for your response.

I followed your instructions and added a controller file.

I set a breakpoint in onAfterRendering method and it gives me the list report key value in object page.

I got sPath value as like below

How can I get the exact value as "4500000004" to proceed next?

Hi Team,

I used the slice function in Javascript and got the exact value.

var poNumber = sPath.slice(18,28);

But the issue is, the method onAfterRendering gets called when I refresh the page. I used the OData call inside this method.

It does not work for each line item selection from list page to object page until I refresh the page.

Please explain on the below points.

How to call onAfterRendering method in object page controller for each line item selection from list page?

or

Do I need to use any other method in Controller?

please share more details how you solved it? I have a similar requirement of adding custom section in object page of PO item and then display table in that section. Can you please guide me?
