Dear Experts,
a customer is using SAP JAM Enterprise for years and has lots of content there. Now customer has licenced SuccessFactors Work Zone and want to easily migrate users and content from JAM Enterprise to Work Zone.
Do you know if there is an easy way to export from JAM and import into Work Zone or to migrate from JAM to Work Zone?
I have found this KBA: https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2920494
Will this domain migration request transfer content from JAM to Work Zone?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
For those who are still looking for answers, here is my experience:
Yes, with the domain migration ticket you've raised, most of the content gets migrated. All the user lists, alias accounts, contents in the group, and contents on the home page will be migrated. The only changes will be in terminologies. For example: The groups you have in SAP JAM will become workspaces in Work Zone. But rest assured, all the blogs, PDFs, and images will be migrated as they are. However, things such as custom theming will not be migrated and will need to be redone.
I hope it is helpful.😃
Regards,
Tapas Vashi

Feature considerations for SAP Jam and SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone
Although SAP Jam can be considered as one of the starting points for migration to SAP Build Work Zone,
advanced edition and users and content is easily migrated to SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition, it is
not considered as an upgraded Jam collaboration solution. SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition is a
much broader, more powerful and valuable solution which – among (many) other services & features -
includes capabilities based on SAP Jam functionality.

Hi avelazquezz89
thanks a lot for your comment.
In the meantime I have not found a detailled solution. However, we have just tried and seen that when you request SAP to upgrade from JAM to WZ while having JAM Enterprise, content comes over from JAM to WZ and is displayed mostly correct and useable. You have to take care of deleting / permissioning the users correctly.
