Hello,
Im doing research for a possible migration to SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office.
Im aware that SAP Analytics Cloud Licence is required to use the add-in for Microsoft Office.
The use case is to consume SAP BW Queries with SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office.
The help portal documentation for SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office got a section
"Add an SAP BW query"
Within this section it is mentioned:
"With the SAP Analytics Cloud add-in, you can analyze SAP BW queries. The data is shown in a table.
Additionally, you can use models based on SAP BW data sources. To use these models with the add-in, the connections to the SAP BW system must be created as live data connections of type tunnel in your SAP Analytics Cloud."
For me its not clear if I need to first create a live model in SAC with a live data connection of type tunnel to be able to consume a BW Query in SAC add-in for Microsoft Excel or if creating a live model is optional and using the live tunnel connection in SAC add-in for Microsoft Excel grants access to SAP BW queries without a live data model in SAC?
Thanks in advance for answering this question!
