Consume ODATA v4 API within the same S4HANA Cloud

Dear Experts, 

I am trying to consume an ODATA v4.0 standard SAP API within the same S4HANA Cloud system.  I followed the instructions as per the SAP Help.

I created a proxy, outbound services, service consumption model, communication scenarios etc.  I created the communication arrangement and able to check connection successfully in the arrangement.

 I am using the code generated in the service consumption model.  When I tried to use the proxy in the ABAP code in the ADT, I am getting an error :

The remote service has raised a Client Error '404': 'Not Found'

Please help to consume this service - either using Local Proxy class or Remote Proxy class.

Hi,

I had the same issue, so to fix it, I've done the followin, delete the communication arrangement first if you need to modify the custom communication scenario:

- In the custom communication scenario: put the full URL of the ODATA Service, example: /sap/opu/odata4/sap/api_real_estate_contract/srvd_a2x/sap/api_recontract/0001/

-Ping the Communication arrangement to check if the service is accessible

- In the ABAP Code:

Don't put the relative service root

" Create http client

If after that you get a 403, it means that the user doesn't have authorization but it means also that you were able to reach the odata service outbound
