Connection test failing for Destination in CP cockpit - Unknown Host type

Hi,

I have a HANA XSA instance, where I have a XSJS service running which exposes certain data in the form of xsodata.

In order to use it in SAP Web-IDE Full Stack to make an SAPUI5 front-end, I'm trying to create a destination for the xsodata service in HANA cloud platform cockpit.

I'm able to access the said-URL through a browser, but when I try to do a connection test for this destination, it fails with the following error:

Can someone please help me out? If, able to access the said URL through a browser, why would the connection test fail? I'm assuming that it is giving an unknown host error, because it is unable to resolve the URL, but if a browser can resolve then it's working just fine, I guess?

What are your Cloud Connector settings?

florian.pfeffer Thanks for responding. Could you please tell me what is the connection between a destination and a cloud connector? My understanding is that a destination of type "internet" will point to an URL outside the network. Why would it be affected by the way we configure our cloud connectors?

I guess your host dbhs2 is within your corporate network and not reachable public. So to be able to access it you need a cloud connector which establishes a connection between your corporate network and your SCP account.

Hi florian.pfeffer, you were right. Our issue was resolved by creating a cloud connector to the HANA XSA instance and switching the destination type from Internet to OnPremise. Thank you for your help.
