Hi all,
I have been following this tutorial for using the SAP Private Link Service to set up a private connection between SAP Datasphere and an Azure Storage Account. We are using replication flows in SAP Datasphere to write data from SAP S/4HANA to an Azure Storage Account
The Private Link Service has been set up on BTP, but now that I need to bind the service to SAP Datasphere, I'm starting to doubt that this will work.
Can anyone guide or advice me on how to do this?
Is it even possible to use the SAP private Link Service with SAP Datasphere?
Thanks!
Kind Regards,
Joachim

Hi Joachim,
I've not got any real-world experience with Private Link but the documentation suggests it's not supported for SAP Datasphere yet - link attached.

Hi all,
I reached out to an SAP expert, and this is their answer:
It's not possible to use SAP Private link service to connect SAP Datasphere to Azure. Unless a BTP Service is explicitly listed in the documentation, along with guidelines how to create the connection, it's safe to determine that the scenario is not supported. Currently supported scenarios in SAP Private link service are connecting CAP applications (CF/Kyma) to Azure/AWS (according to the list of services described in the documentation).
So, it's not possible.
Kind Regards,
Joachim
