Connecting to csv files in Crystal 2020 using the 64 bit ODBC?

Like other people, I am struggling to connect to csv files in Crystal Reports 2020 (having recently upgraded from Crystal XI). I understand that this is due to Crystal 2020 being 64 bit, and as such ODBC 64 needs to connect to the csv file formats, rather than Crystal itself directly - however I am unable to find a driver or see how this works.

I cannot see an answer here or elsewhere- has any other user had any success with csv files in Crystal 2020?

Many thank in advance,

SAP Crystal Reports

In 64 BIT ODBC Admin tool click on the Driver tab and see if you have these:

Either the CR Textfile ODBC or Microsoft Access Driver.

If you don't you may need 64 Bit Office installed or a third party 64 bit CSV client.

To create the DSN:

Configure ODBC:
  1. Open the 64-bit ODBC application in your system.
  2. Click on Add button present in "User DSN".
  3. Select "Microsoft Access Text Driver (*. ...
  4. Enter a logical name for the ODBC data source, ...
  5. Navigate to the folder/directory where your CSV file is present. ...
  6. Click "OK" and close the ODBC Text Setup.
