Hello colleagues,
on supplier side we want to use supplier integration with Cloud Integration Gateway for supplier.
Cause we have multiple AN IDs it is not possible to use the standard AddOn for CIG for supplier in the backend system.
For this reason, we would realise the connection ourselves via an already existing PI (On Premise) and build our own mapping in the PI.
Now we are faced with the challenge that we want to connect CIG with the SAP PI (On Prem) via SAP Cloud Connector.
We have set up SAP Cloud Connector and established a connection via transport type “HTTPS” in the CIG.
If we then do a connection test in CIG, we receive an error message and no request from the CIG can be seen in the logs of the SAP Cloud Connector.
Apparently we can't get a connection to the SAP Cloud Connector.
In order to check whether any requests arrive at the SAP Cloud Connector at all, we switched the connection type in CIG to “Addon” as a test.
When we then run connection test in CIG, we also get an error but requests appear in the log files of the SAP Cloud Connector.
As we know from SPA Help: To establish a connection with a middleware, the connection type “HTTPS” must be selected.
But is it the right way to connect to the PI (On Prem) using the SAP Cloud Connector?
Which is the preferred way to set up?
Thank you in advance for the support
Heinz-Georg
