Hi folks !
Right now, I am trying to create a WEBi report based on an BOBJ universe that will be feeded by a BI Table plugged into DataServices as a data store.
What's working :
1) In Data Services, I have created : MyBatchJob -> MyWorkFlow -> MyDataFlow -> MyAbapDataFlow -> MyDataStoreTable
I can view the data of the table when clicking "ViewData".
2) This point is what I think it's right to do for what I want to achieve.
In Data Services, I have exported the Metadata using Tools -> Metadata Exchange.
That has created an XML file (Repo_Export.xml) that I have imported in BOBJ Universe Designer using the File -> Metadata Exchange.
What I am not sure of :
After importing the Repo_Export.xml file into Universe Designer, I must select a connection withing the wizard. I have an existing connection pointing to my ECC BI SAP system.
After thinking about it, shouldn't it be pointing to DataServices ?! If so which drivers/how can I make my universe point to DataServices -> datastore?!
Having my connection pointing to the ECC BI SAP system gives me multiple error, such as I am unable to do the Refresh Structure operation in Universe Designer as it gives me an error saying : Error Connection : The server is not responding. (UNV0018)
Also if I go further and ignore the Refresh Structure problem and start to build a WEBi report, based on that universe generated by the Metadata Exchange operation, even if I put only one field in my report, it gives me an error when running the Query, or when previewing the data, saying that the Specified XML is invalid and shows the SQL Query.
What I think is that the connection used with my generated universe using the Metadata Exchange operation is that it should point to DataServices instead of my ECC BI SAP system but I have no idea how to achieve this since I must select drivers for the connection and nothing corresponds to my needs.
Or else, there must be another way of doing it !
My ears are all open for your suggestions !
So as a summary, I want to create a WEBi report based on some data from DataServices which feeds itself via a data store based on a BI Table.
Thanks for all your help !
