Hi,
At my customer side we currently have multiple interfaces like ECC backend <=> SAP PO <=> 3rd party
Customer will switch part of the operation to S4HANA and also wants to move from SAP PO to Integration Suite on BTP.
But some of 3rd party connections are really quite complicated and might even be changed in 1 to 2 years, so i feel like the effort to move all of that to IS now, and then still change it later on is not worth the effort.
So what i'm thinking about is a split in some interfaces where we start using IS and PO together.
That will look like S4 <=> IS <=> PO <=> 3rd party.
This way i,
1) only connect S4 to IS (and not also to PO)
2) dont have to worry about the complicated stuff that is between PO and 3rd party
3) take up the work of connecting IS to 3rd party when the time has come for that change they will make
Of course it requires me copy all ICO's on PO to not have ECC as sender (mostly idocs by the way) but have Integration Suite as sender.
So that is some extra work.
Any thoughts on this way of working?
Can i just create HTTP connections between PO and IS to accomplish this scenario?
Any comments are appreciated
Kr
Robert
