Configure more than one type of Storage Adapters in one LaMa System

Can more than one, different storage adapters be configured in one LaMa System?

For example we have IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC) and Hitachi/HDS, can both be configured at the same time in one LaMa System?

In future, we are planning to migrate from IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC) to NetApp SAN, so can NetApp SAN and Hitachi/HDS be configured at the same time in one LaMa System?

Dear Sanjoy,

yes, it is possible and one of the great advantages of SAP Landscape Management that the different available adapters can be configured and used in parallel.

But please clarify with the respective provider (NetApp, IBM) in advance which software versions and configurations are supported by them. I think the NetApp adapter supports NFS, which is beneficial in many ways. Not sure if they do still support NetApp SAN.

Michael has already answered your question but I would like to add that as of this time NetApp adapter supports NFS only. SAN support was dropped a few years back. However, NetApp consulting services have provided custom workflows for some provisioning scenarios to handle SAN for some customers. If you absolutely can't use NFS then this could be an option but you will need to ask NetApp if they can still do this.
