Concur and SAP BW7.5 or BW/4HANA Integration

Hi,

I am new to Concur and I am looking at how to implement reporting on Concur Expense Reports from SAP BW. To allow linking of objects referenced on the expense reports to master data outside Concur.

I have been directed towards using the SAP Concur APIs via calls such as:

• GET Reports to obtain a list of expense reports for a specified selection e.g. created in last 3 hours and
• GET Report to obtain the details for a (single) expense report

On the SAP BW/HANA side I understand SAP HANA Smart Data Integration could be used to make the API Calls. However it is not clear how this would work, questions/comments welcome:

1. Is it a reasonable approach to extract data via the SAP Concur API and load into HANA via SAP HANA SDI?
2. Is there a reference documentation/information on how this approach could work? I cannot find any.

The information on using the API is unclear so intending to use Concur Intelligence, the inbuilt Cognos reporting, to create flat file extract.

I believe the API can currently be useful in a situation where want to get a single expense claim or travel trip but not a bulk extraction of data.

If you find any information on best practice for BW / Concur integration I would be interested.

I would bee keen to understand if you made any progress on this. I'm also new to Concur integration and am working on a project to hook up SAP BIS to Concur using SDI and the Concur API's
