Composite Provider - Join with different types & Export Datasource

Hello,

i got two issues regarding the new composite provider. How can i join two different field types? For Example varchar and date? If i drag&drop one field to the join column a popup appears giving me only identical types to select from. How can I manually select both join partners?

The second issues regards export Datasources - is it even possible to create one on top of a HCPR?

Running BW 7.4 SPS13, newest Versions of Hana Studio and BWMT

Hi,

The answer for the first question, as I know, is no. You can't. You have to do a manipulation (either at source level or use any staging object - OODS/IS etc.) to align (add a new field type of date and assign varchar value) the fields.

The secod answer is no as well:)

You can use CP as a source within the system, but as exportdatasource you can't.

Sure you can load from CP do a standard DSO and use its exportdatasource.
