Cloud ALM system availability alert

Hi All,

Im trying to set a custom threshold / metric to check the HANA Service Status in SAP CALM health monitoring but am having issues how to define either the status mapping or text threshold settings.

Basically when Hana services are unavailable I would like an alert raised - has anyone achieved this in CALM ?

Hi, Anita,
For SAP S/4HANA on-premise systems, Health Monitoring offers a System Heartbeat metric. 

If the heartbeat is ok, you know the system is available.  Else, it is not. 

I checked the Event configuration and it does not currently allow you to configure an event for this metric.  This is a candidate for the Influence Campaign.  You can submit ideas at:

Im wondering if something like this would work where alert is sent if hana service is not active ?

Hi apranic,
Were you able to try this?  Unfortunately, I have no access to a system like this to trigger such a condition to test if it works.  If you found the answer, it would be wonderful if you can post what you learned here to help others with same question.
