Cloud ALM - Feature Tile : Notification management

Hello,

We are currently using the "Feature" tile of Cloud ALM to transport our development of our S/4HANA systems.

We would like to know if it is possible to configure notifications in the tool based on different events (example: failure during transport, change of status of a feature to 'Ready for Production').
I do not find anything in the documentation or in the tool today, which is why I'm coming to you for confirmation.

Dear Customer,

SAP Cloud ALM for Implementation apps have "in-app" notifications for specific activities (e.g. a Defect is assigned to your user). It is now possible to enable a very basic e-mail notification that will be sent at the same time that the in-app notifications are created.

Note, this e-mail functionality is completely separate from the e-mail functionality offered by SAP Cloud ALM for Operations apps (e.g. Health Monitoring).

Since July 2024 there are two options for getting the E-mail notifications for SAP Cloud ALM for Implementation scenarios as you can read in the SAP Help portal Enabling Email Channel for In-App Notifications:

  • You can use the email service provided by the data center hosting your SAP Cloud ALM tenant. This option doesn't require any admin-level configuration. The email notifications go out under the sender name SAP Cloud ALM Notifications and the address sapcloudalm@notifications.sap.com.

  • If you want to use your own infrastructure and determine the sender address yourself, you can use your own email server that you are operating under your responsibility.

For this case, you need to set up an SMTP mail destination in your SAP BTP subaccount for SAP Cloud ALM, as described in Configuring an SMTP Mail Destination. If that destination is configured, then the notification emails will only be sent via your own email server

Kindly see more details under KBA 3390449.

Best Regards,

Sunny
