Regarding the documentation, I’ve found that the standard upgrade path usually involves two steps — from version 2016 to 2020, and then from 2020 to 2025.
So far, I’ve successfully performed several step-by-step upgrades using this approach.
However, I came across information suggesting that it’s possible to upgrade directly from version 2016 SP9 to version 2025, without going through 2020.
Has anyone already completed this direct upgrade successfully?
Is there any official SAP documentation that clearly describes this process?
