Chrome 102 and SAP Analytics Cloud Live connections to on-premise data sources

Hello community,

A new feature called Private Network Access (PNA) is coming to the Chrome browser in version 102.
If you use SAP Analytics Cloud with live connections connected to an on-premise data source, you may see some new issues/warnings. Our development team is aware of this. Please check this KBA for more information as it will be updated with more information: 3205694 - Chrome configuration change: Private Network Access: introducing preflights in SAP Analyti....

it seems that the SAP Help already contains this new parameter, but does not show how to enable it

Dear sayedzubaird and mhf,

We've learned that there is a Chrome bug and private requests should not be blocked yet in version 102.
See here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1329248
Note in Chrome version 105, the private requests WILL be blocked and we have started to prepare for that by issuing this KBA https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/3205694 and working internally with colleagues on what configurations are required.
As for the "Allow Private Network Access" option, this feature is coming in Note 3166410 - Enabling Private Network Access in CORS-Framework which is not yet released for SAP NetWeaver.
For now, if you are having CORS issues, please follow the workaround steps mentioned in this KBA 3205694 - Chrome configuration change: Private Network Access: introducing preflights in SAP Analyti... to disable this feature.
We will also update you here when Chrome publishes a patch and when further information needs to be communicated.

Dear Community,

Chrome pushed out the configuration changes and this should not be causing an issue for live connections anymore. Please see KBA 3205694 - Chrome configuration change: Private Network Access: introducing preflights in SAP Analyti... on how to check if the setting is disabled (hint: check for PrivateNetworkAccessSendPreflights/Disabled in the chrome://version/?show-variations-cmd page).
