Characteristic Displays "#" - "Not Assigned 0PYMT_METH & 0PMNT_BLOCK

Hi Experts,

Our data loads are getting stuck due to "#" value in these two Master Data Text and as usual business does not want to change it in there configuration but asking us to fix it in BW side, we raised SAP Incident and they suggested to have a look into 1580561 - RSDMD194 error when loading BW master data - SAP for Me

Meanwhile similar question was raised some years ago but no responses...

Do you have problem while loading data or with display in the report?

if it is with data loads, probably it is to do with junk character. You can then use FM SCP_REPLACE_STRANGE_CHARS to remove unwanted char.

that FM is not really giving us result....

The problem is bigger, Business uses "#" as Key. Master data load can be fixed but if we replace it with acceptable character in BW in Transactional data, we will have problem in Queries. Business will compare, they would not agree with the new character, as they would like to see "#"...........

Hi Manna,

I plan to replace # with space for 0PAYMT_METH for all the transaction data also. The texts used in this case in ECC for # will then be assigned to space.
