Changes in Workflow is not reflecting in quality system

Dear Experts,

We had a custom workflow of 3 levels. Now we have added one level before the final level making it as 4 levels. In our development system it is working fine for new and old reports. The workflow graphical log is automatically getting adjusted and the old approvals are now following as per the new structure.

But when we moved it to Quality system, the new reports are working as per the 4 levels but the old ones which were there in the approval states are following the old 3 level structure. 

I have tried SWU_OBUF and PPWFBUF in the quality system but its still not working.

Compare the workflow versions between the development and quality environments..In development, new changes might have been updated in the current version itself, whereas in quality, they might have been created as a new version..

Thank you for the reponse.

I have checked the versions. I am having the latest version available in our QS4 system.. And new reports are taking the latest version only. But the old ones are still with the old version.

Hi Priyanka,This is expected behavior. Workflow steps will be executed based on the version they were started with. The reason it worked in Development but not in Quality is that in Development, you might have made the latest changes to your current version. A new version might have been generated upon activation and moved to the Quality system... Typically the transport will carry only the latest changes
