Hello Support,

Archive object - BC_DBLOGS
Minimum Retention Period - 7 years
maximum Retention Period - 20 Years.

Based on the above rules in ILM the Mandatory destruction date for the Archive file is determined by the system.

The client wants to know the following:-

1. is there a way to change the Destruction date?
2. When we change the rules again does it affect the destruction date of an archived file?

Regards

Hi!

Destruction date is determined by the system and there is solution to change is manually.
If an archive file/resource is created with a certain set of rules and retention period, than this archive file/resource will have fixed expiration date and mandatory destruction date. If rule is changed afterwards, it has no effect on the already existing archive files/resources. To have an effect of rule change, ILM file conversion must be executed.
