Change the license of a existing system for new customer

We have SAP ECC6 system for testing. it has been registered system in our system data. Some departments were dividen to estibulish a new company. They also become new customer of SAP and got their contract. We want move this system for them and plan to use after proper configuration and data purge. This can save the effort to re-install the whole new system.

Can I just use the license key they request from SAP marketplace in transaction SLICENSE to make this system as theirs? Are there any other procedures should I take to change the license?

Any advise and suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Joe,

You can delete and install new license. After installing the new license, please restart your system to ensure that the correct installation and system number are displayed in your system.

Additionally, you will not only move one system for new company, you should create additional systems (e.g. DEV, QAS).
