Hi,
During the installation on AIX it will list the filesystem s requied for the installation like /usr/sap/,/usr/sap/trans..etc.Whether we can create or make use of other filesystems than this standard for the installation??

Hi Sam ,
When you have more then one sap instance on your host it can be usefull to rename certain file systems.
eg /usr/sap/trans --> /usr/sap/trans_<SID>.
Then you have to maintain the parameter DIR_TRANS in your instanceprofile by use of tc RZ10.
When you use tc RZ11 and fill in DIR* you can see al the parameters which support alternative file system names.

Hi Sam,
It is good practice always to keep sap standard default path (file systems).
Hope this will answer your question
