cf login authentication is failing without sso

I wanted to login to cf through command prompt without sso. cf login --sso is working fine for me. But when I try to login by giving my credentials userID and password, I am getting the mentioned error {"error":"invalid_grant","error_description":"User authentication failed: Unauthorized, VALID_OTP_CODE"}.

Logging in via SSO cert shouldn't require your User ID and password in the first place. It should rather point you to a website that will display you a OTP (one-time password)
