Cant Create Text Variable

Hi,
I`m facing the following problem.

I create a query with BEx Query Designer.

In the Columns of the query I put some KY. After that I try to put and/or create some Text Variable in the Description field - something like &ET_0DATE_0P_KEYDT_101&.

I can see all previously defined Text Variables and also I can create a new one and use it.

Everything is fine and the query is working correctly.

On the same machine, with the same SAP GUI and BEx Query Designer I`m connecting to a different BW system.

I try to do the same - to use Text Variable in some Key Figure Description.

If I try to list all previously defined Text Variables I`m receiving empty list, but at the table RSZGLOBV there are around 300 variables of type VARTYP = 3.

If i try to create my own Text Variable I receive an empty screen

and after that BEx Query Designer dies with NullPointerRefference.

Both systems are on HANA DB ....

Can anyone help with any advice?

I searched for applicable NOTES -cant find anything usefull.
I tested on other machine with SAP GUI 7.3 / 7.4 and 7.5 but the same - the Designer works with the first BW system and don't with the second.
