Background: Planning a migration to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition (Rise) and concerned about the future of certain tools that we are currently using:
Questions 1) Currently have SAP Solution Manager 7.2 in SQL Server 2012 on premise and would like to know if it is worth planning some type of SQL Server upgrade for this project or is there any other tool that will replace the functionality of the Solution Manager in SAP Rise ?
Question 2) Having 2 PI servers (Process Integrator 7.5) in SQL Server 2012 on premise that act as middleware between the ERP and (SAP SuccessFactors or SAP Concur), and want to know the same way in this conversion process / migration to SAP Rise, how would this component function in the new Rise architecture, will it be replaced by which tool?
Request clarification before answering.
Answer for Question 2)
Yes, you should be able to migrate SAP PI/PO to RISE with no issues.
For the migration please use to SAP official guide from SAP Note 2574603 - PI: Official SAP Guide Finder.
Our only recommendation is that you run the PO wizards after you migrate to RISE, in order the necessary settings (host, port, ip addresses...) could be adjusted:
Also, our official recommendation is that customers migrate to the Cloud as the NW 7.5 will end the maintenance soon:
