Hi,
Currently we are using single environment for datasphere and that it currently has “q” in its url. Is it possible we will use this environment as PROD and our plan is to introduce another tenant or environment for QA in sometime later?
In this case what the challenges we will face in future in terms of transport (export/import objects) and sizing the environment?
Thanks in advance for your comments.Rgds,

Hi taslim.arif.bi,
You can use the environment as you want. It just may not be intuitive to consider a PROD environment when URL is for example: datasphere-q.eu10.hcs.cloud.sap
Technically speaking there is no difference nor limitation.
You should also consider KBA 3339644 - How to change the URL subdomain for a SAP Datasphere tenant?
It's not possible to change Datasphere's URL. Therefore tenant will be deleted and a new one provisioned.

I want to add little more details context to my original query.
Currently we do have 2 datasphere systems.
- For the first one, System Type & System Role =TEST (see the screenshots below) and
- we have recently provisioned another one new datasphere system with System Type & System Role = Production.
Note: URL of the TEST one contains 'q' as I mentioned in original query. We are not keen to change the URL.
Is it possible for us to continue with our current TEST system as our PROD environment and newly introduced Production system as QA environment? If we do the same, will we face any consequence in future?
Hi taslim.arif.bi,
Technically speaking, it's possible.
However as I mentioned this may be not intuitive for the Datasphere's end user, causing confusion.
If you already created objects/connections, I would suggest to transport (Export/import) content between the tenants.
Then use it according to the respective assigned System Role.
