Hi Team,
We are currently facing an issue in our PowerDesigner Repository where users have the ability to check out entire folders, including all models within them. Unfortunately, this has led to resource consumption and performance degradation on our PowerDesigner Repository Server.
We haven’t found a straightforward way to prevent users from checking out entire folders. Given the impact on system performance, we would like to inquire if there is any configuration or setting that can restrict users from performing such bulk check-outs.
Could you please provide guidance on how we can enforce restrictions to prevent users from checking out entire folders? Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your response.

I have found the following:
To restrict a user not see a model in the repository - you can remove the 'Read' permission.
By default I believe it's set to All Users - Read. When I removed the 'read' permissions for all, my generic user not see if when logging in.
To restrict a user not see a folder in the repository - same steps as for a model.

You can also make this work by assigning a user a group setting the permissions on the model or folder for the group that user in.
