Hello, as we know, GTS 11 allows classification into the future, but ERP has only the current commodity code assignment, not date dependent. I understand that in S4 HANA ERP the classification will also offer the ability to classify by date, but for this to work, both GTS S4 and S4 HANA must be implemented. This I feel is still a few years away.
At our company users classify into the future, especially around year end before the new codes are active. It's a long task and takes time. Users have to classify and then must rememeber to trigger a transfer from GTS to ERP at the appropriate date.
As an example: GTS has product 12345 classified now as A but next year will be B. So the user can do this in GTS, product 12345 is classified A until 31/03/2024 and is classified B from 01/04/2024 until 31/12/9999. Does the standard solution offer the possibility to transfer to ERP classification which is made for the future? So at the first day of validity (in this case 01/04/2024) of the new classification in GTS, this is automagically transferred to ERP and is ready for use without any intervention from user other than the initial task of classification?
Thanks
Regards
Philip

Hi Philip,
yes, what you mentioned should work in SAP standard if you run t-code /SAPSLL/COMCO_RTR / report /SAPSLL/COMCO_RETRANSFER for retransfer into ECC system regularly in background via batch job:
