In our workflows, we send out notifications on the SAP inbox/Business Workplace of the user..

Can the Email notifications be sent to Universal Worklist instead ?

(In workflow - Activity used is Send Mail )

Hi.

Universal Woklist is used for recieving worklists, not for usual emails.

A special connector called SAPNEGO does help recieve SAP inbox emails in UWL, but unfortunately isnt reliable.

I would suggest that a transaction iview for transaction SBWP be created and added to the portal.

This idea will work, if all users of EP have a valid SAP R3 logon, and SSO works.

Thats true. The SAP Business Workplace can (and has been) made available on the Portal.

The Worklist is required for collecting and processing different process Workitems (Leave Approvals, Travel approvals ,etc)

While the Email notifications were being sent to the SAP Inbox/Business Workplace

Since, some of workflows mandate the requirement of the UWL, the aim was to route notifications to the UWL as well, so that the Inbox is no longer required.

I had posted the same query under other forums as well.

Most of them have led me to a connector called SONiC. Started off as a pilot, it can be downloaded from SDN -

Apparently, I need not make any changes to my workflow.

The mails get forwarded from the SAP Inbox to the UWL. They can be seen under the UWL's notification tab.

Seems to be working fine. Keeping fingers crossed. Thanks Mona.
