BW Upgrade 740 to 750 - BEx Query output on Poral - used to show 'Not Assigned' now showing '#'

Hi,

We are working on upgrading BW from 7.4 to 7.5. While testing we have identified an issue. Truly not a big issue, but would like to understand what is caused for this change.

Prior to upgrade, when an Info-object of type characteristic doesn't have any value in the underline Info-provider, and in Info-object "Business Explorer" tab default value to display is set as "Text", in portal output we used to see "Not Assigned" when the value is blank.

After upgraded to 7.5, these Info-objects are showing "Key" i.e., '#" in the place of 'Not Assigned'.

Does anyone have observed this issue? If so, how is this resolved?

Check to see if "#" or null entries in the master data text table have a value assigned to "Not Assigned". If not, Manually maintain the desired value in each language. Sometimes "None" or "Not applicable" are more appropriate.
