Hi All - we are running SAP BW (NW 7.5 SPS27) system. The current Production database system size is 8.5 TB. We are planning to migrate on BW4HANA system, and we ran BW4HANA sizing report. We came to know there is no much significant database reduction in sizing report as the required database size is 8.2 TB for HANA DB. Is there any thumb rule when you migrate BW database which will be reduce by 30% on HANA DB? Pls confirm on this.

Hi,
the rule of thumb is - there is no change of DB size, especially in an inplace conversion.
You can reduce the the size by housekeeping only, but that normally happens in the preparation of BW 7.5 for the conversion. 0TCT InfoProviders might consume a lot of data and as those are decommissioned you can expect size reduction of the size consumed by these 0TCT InfoCubes.
