Business objects 2024: Crystal Reports For Enterprise Removal

With the announcement of Business Objects 2024, and the end of life for Crystal Reports for Enterprise, will SAP release a conversion tool to assist in the forced migration from Crystal Reports for Enterprise reports to Crystal Reports Classic? We are a very heavy user of Crystal Reports for Enterprise and this is going to cause a MAJOR disruption for us.

Currently, you can open (but not run) SAP CR for Enterprise (CR4E) reports in SAP Crystal Reports (CR) - I have done this to do formatting that can't be done or is difficult in CR4E. The major difference is that with CR you currently can't use either UNX universes or a connection that's defined in BOBJ instead of local to the report.

I don't know for sure as I don't work for SAP, but I suspect they will have to incorporate those features into CR, especially since UNV universes also are deprecated. The first step towards that has already happened in that CR is now 64-bit with the CR 2020 release.

Thank you for your comment; however, I didn’t see anything about converting Crystal Reports Enterprise to Crystal Reports Classic. That article was about live office and the announcement that SAP is doing away with Crystal Reports Enterprise
