Hi all,
in our Company the question Comes up if BRF+ will be part of S/4 - the next Generation of SAP Business Software. Has anyone informations about this question or give me a hint where i can get them?
Kind regards
Günter

There is a good example with TDF (Tax Declaration Framework) - will run just in Hana and the recomendation way to integrate with the internal modules is using BRF+.

BRFplus is the default BRMS in S4H. There will be some more features (e.g. we work on Fiori UI controls and HANA integration). More to come soon.

Hi Carsten,
There is still a long way to go till we can make use of it,
but I have one more question regarding the (interesting) DSM - HRF Integration:
Will that be an explicit integration (i.e. new dedicated HRF expression types) or implicit one (e.g. internal conversion of DB lookup / decision tables expressions to HRF)?
Regards,
Shai
Hello Shai,
You are asking the right questions! We have been struggling with the integration approach for quite a while. The first 2 attempts were not considered sucessfull or powerful yet convenient enough. So we changed the architecture several time. Now, we follow a concept that would let us define an expression such as a decision table once (in one UI) and use it in operational (BRFplus, ABAP) and analytical (HRF, SQL) scenarios as well as probably in combinations of both where one decision service produces the combination of ABAP and SQL code for execution. It is still too early to explain it generally in a blog and there is still some risk that we hit road blocks. But I am confident we can demo and explain it soon.
Regards,
Carsten
