Hello Guys,
I know BPS-SEM will not be supported by SAP after 2011. Again there won't be any new developments also.
So it is going to be IP or Outlooksoft BPM.
I have the following questions:
Outlooksoft will be a standalone product or it will be integrated with BI.
Do all BPS-IP consultants have to take outlooksoft training. If yes I can't find any training scheduled for outlook/BPM in sap training site.I can find the training in outlooksoft website.
SAP announced its intention to acquire Business Objects. Do Business Objects has a planning tool.if so then again it will be integrated with SAP .
Request clarification before answering.
Hi
Here are the answers on the two issues:
1. Training:
The SAP Business Planning and Consolidation or SAP BPC (ex-OutlookSoft) courses are also run by SAP Education in various countries as classroom courses. There are also parallel Virtual Classroom courses. There are two courses.
Search SAP Education from www.sap.com for CPM 310/311 (Class and Virtual - 5 days - Implement and configure SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 5.1) and CPM 320/21 (5 days - Create reports and input schedules, and implement budgeting and consolidation functionality in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 5.1)
2. SAP NetWeaver Integration:
SAP BPC 7.0 goes into ramp-up in Q1/08 and expected unrestricted shipment is Q2/08. It will run on SAP NetWeaver with BI 7.0 integration. The official statement is that this version will leverage the BI-IP framework. This is the plan.
SAP is not making any statements regarding plans with BObj. The deal is only expected to be finalised in Q1/08.
Warm Regards
