Hi expert

I'm struggling with a blended models in an story ( Chart widget)

In one Chart widget  I have linked two model

One is the primary ( Sales ) and another is the secondary ( Costs)

They are linked with Material object .

All materials not in secondary model are skipped also in the first.

Type of link is: "all primary data"

Some materials ( tipically service, labor ..) are in primary model ( they are sold) but not in the secondary.

My expetation it was that with this type of link is like "left outher join" (Sql)  but seems not the same things.

All materials not in secondary are skipped from primary also.

What am I doing wrong ?

@egil63

Link Type:

  • All primary data: Allows all data in the primary model, and corresponding data in a secondary model to appear in the table.

This is like SQL Left Join. Are you showing all measures on chart including the ones which are not in secondary model.

Hi @N1kh1l you are right.. Link worked well , the problem is that I have a filter ( on top) based a fied on second model and this exclude all record in firt model that hasn't no value in second. I need to find another way. Thanks

You could create another table and set the filter cascading to not filter that widget ( table 2)
