Hello,
I have added a new printer which is a Konica Minolta Bizhub 4052 which we have with several other within a secure print environment.
So locally everybody can print with his username and PIN.
In SAP i configured a new printer in SPAD,
with device type: KOC650A1 : bizhub C650 Series PCL as this is one which has on Print Options Tab the "User authentication".
I enabled it, but when going to count physical documents and try to print i can select the printers which are within the environment, i can hear the beab beab when printer receives the request but it says failed login and i see that the user name is set to "PRINT" which is not correct at all.
I thought when choosing the printer it should open another pop up in which i can set my user credentials for Secure Print?
Can somehow shedd some light into this curious behavior, i cannot imagine that SAP has not such an option to deal with Secure Print environments????
What is also funny is that when printing another thing like a label material or handling unit i can select the printer and go into additional options but the Print option User authentification does not appear. If i flag and unflag others they are disappearing and appear like it should be the only one which is not working at all is this user authentication.
Many many thanks.
