Hi BI experts,
We suffer from very slow Workbook Load in Analysis 2.2 and it does not depend on the report complexity. Workbook load meaning the time elapsed from report "View" in BI Launchpad till "Prompt" in Excel. By running Analysis for Office Profiling it seems half of the load time is spent in BI Platform and webservice, not RFC: BICS*. Below si an image of profiling and XML log file is attached. Please advise how can we optimize our BI to get better workbook loading times. Thanks!

Hi Lamine, unfortunately no. New SAPnotes on the subject did not help even some mentioning combining calls that looked promising. Still waiting-hoping for the solution. Now the user experience is not great. But in time they get used to it - not a solution. One notable difference was using HANA as a BW database instead. Much better user experience with the same tools, versions. HANA is the way to go
Thanks for your input, Sven.
The annoying part in our case, is that our BW lies on an HANA DB. And apart of improvements on loading times within BW, no improvement is noticed on BI4 reporting tools.
Besides, BEx Analyzer cope better with large datasets than Analysis. In AO, the BICS_PROV_GET_RESULT_SET last 15 times longer than Analyzer...
Please keep me in touch for any update on this (maybe with AO2.3 next week). Thanks.
