BI 4.1 SSO

HI All,

Need an suggestion regarding SSO configuration with BI 4.1 CMS is on Linux.

Can you please suggest which SSO option is better with BI 4.1 configuring Trusted Authentication or Siteminder?

Also, if we have a portal which will redirect to the BI launch pad, which TA option should be used HTTP_HEADER or REMOTE_USER?

Many Thanks,

Shubha

BO on UNIX there are 2 ways

1:SAP note 1965433

2: TA with Siteminder or without siteminder.

Both the 2 method will include TA configuration.

if you configure with siteminder default method will be HTTP_HEADER.

REMOTE_USER will be helpful in case you have AD and login in a client machine as a AD user.

if you want to integrated any portal then you can use any method out of 6 but you will have to pass the credential by any of the method.

For portal easy methods are cookie but you need to check all the 6 method which can be used in your env.

There is no good or bad. It all depends on your organization preference.
