BI AddOn 7.x (based on 7.20), Support Package 2, Patch1, Revision 652
In 3.5 Bex Analyzer, there used to be an option to load the selection variables via clipboard or a text file. For example if you want to give the selection condition as a list of 20 materials which are in no particular order into Material variable with multiple selections , we used to prepare a text file and upload from the text file. Other option was to paste from the clipboard(copy/paste).
I do not see that option in 7.0. Can any body suggest how to do the same in 7.0 Analyzer.
Thanks
Dear Toni,
Functionality has changed litle bit in BEx 7.0
From Clipboard:
1. After clicking on the "Select from List" click on the "More >>" button.
2. Click on the right box to set the focus.
3. Past (Ctrl + V).
From txt file:
1. After clicking on the "Select from List" click on the "More >>" button.
2. Right click on the right box and choose "Upload selections" option.
3. Select the txt file you want to import.

Arvind

Hi,
The above answers are perfect, bt there is another way also...
You can directly add the selection in the box given in selection screen.
Just you need to seperate each single values by the ";"
for that you can go to your text file and replace the space with the ";"
and directly paste it in the box.
