Good day BI gurus,
I have been searching through the web, but unable to come to a best conclusion to do snapshot using the new BW objects (advance DSO, Open ODS View) or use it together with Calculation View etc).
The scenario would be, I need to store weekly snapshots (happens every sunday at 23:59hrs).
The best way I could think of is by grabbing data from ECC ODP datasource, pump into a Advanced DSO (with Active Table and Change log table), then add in a new column with weekly stamp (2017W01, 2016W02 etc). Then report via Composite provider and further to BW query.
Is there a best practise way of doing snapshot by leveraging the new objects in BWonHANA together with HANA Native views?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
