Best Practise for MTAR-enabling existing apps?

Dear Experts,

we have developed 50+ custom Fiori apps which currently run on on-prem Fiori Frontend Server. We want to expose them to the internet via Fiori Portal Service in Cloud Foundry Environment.

We already did this for 3 apps as proof of concept by creating MTAR for them.

For the first 3 apps we manually created MTAR and copied source code to MTAR project in order to build mta file. The apps are currently in a Git Repo and will also still need to run in FES for internal users.

The next stage will be 11 more apps and also MTAR for converted apps need to be updated for every change in "original" app.

Is there any best practise for this? Unfortunately MTAR project does not run on Fiori Frontend server, so source code is duplicated....

Thank you for your advice!

Cheers,
Alej
