BAS: How to address problems

Hello experts,

first of all I want to say that I really like SAP Business Application Studio. Using BAS speeds up my development process and offers all functions I need.

Unfortunately I faced several technical issues during the last weeks which stopped me from doing my work. (e.g.: BTP connectivty issues to cloud connector, installation of fiori extension failed after start of dev space, dev space remains in status "starting", etc.).

How can I address future issues properly to get them solved (quickly)?

Are there any workarounds to continue with fiori developing? I am not able to connect my local VS-Code to my SAP GW system as SAML connection is required.

Regarding the Issue with SAML on your Gateway System: Please check out Bypassing SAML authentication on a ABAP System. Hope that you have a username and password. For a development system I would suggest if no basic auth is possible to talk to the basis team to get it. Also SAML could be just disabled for the /sap/opu/odata part as normaly no SAP Fiori user will access this path directly. For the Fiori Login they can use SAML, get a session Cookie and that way they can also access the OData Services.
