Auto populate Acct.Assign.Category and settlement receiver in Maintain settlement rule

Hi Experts,

The WBS element will be assigned to the Service Order, Once the Service Order is “Released” we are required to create a Settlement Rule where the WBS will be the cost object. The WBS element which is use in the Service Order will be the receiver for the Settlement Rule. In the Manage Settlement Rule application, after entering the service order and document the account assignment category ( WBS) and settlement receiver ( WBS element from service order header) should be defaulted . Could you please provide solution to default the account assignment category and settlement receiver in Manage Settlement Rule App.

To default the Account Assignment Category (e.g., 'WBS') and the Settlement Receiver (WBS element from the Service Order header) in the Manage Settlement Rules app, follow this approach:

 Standard Behaviour (Public Cloud):

In SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, when a WBS element is assigned in the Service Order header and the order is released, the system can propose the WBS as a default settlement receiver,  but only if the correct configuration and master data linkage exist.

 Steps to Enable Defaulting:

Assign WBS Element in Service Order Header:

Ensure the WBS is assigned and active before release (status: Released).

Configure Settlement Profile:

• Go to “Manage Your Solution” → SSCUI: 102570 – Define Settlement Profile.
• Ensure the profile allows settlement to WBS (Account Assignment Category 'WBS').
• Assign the settlement profile to the Service Order Type (via SSCUI: 102571).
