Can anyone explain me what is the difference between User Role, User Profile and User Master Record.
What all things should be set in place for me to authorize a person to do a particular action in a screen.

Hi,
User role ( tr.code PFCG ) includes menu and profile. The profile includes authorization objects with specific parameters maintained.
If you want to create your own auth.object or to display an existing one, refer to tr.code SU21.

User master record is maintained with tr.code SU01. It conatins info about address data, logon data, default, roles, profiles etc.
