Authorization check failed in manage sales order workflow(BTP Workflow)

Hi Experts,

I facing Authorization check error when I tried to execute local manage sales order workflow. I imported the workflow and released it with no changes. I have maintained all the destination as mentioned in the setup guide, still facing this error. Please guide for this.

Hi - could you please let me know when exactly are you getting authorization issue? May be screenshot of workflow log or something would be helpful too.

Hi - Kindly check your "Workflow" destination. Additionally, also check if the service instance for the workflow service is enabled with the additional scope of "WORKFLOW_INSTANCE_START and WORKFLOW_INSTANCE_GET".

Hi Sanket - In the setup guide, it is mentioned that we have to maintain the relevant scopes. Just search for the scope WORKFLOW_INSTANCE_START in the setup guide for this Live process. I guess, it is just above the setup documentation for the destination "Workflow".

I have gone through that, but I cannot understand where to maintain the scopes. For now I maintained in instances of workflow json.

Hello Sanket,

You can update scope items through the "workflow" instance. As you can see in the below image,

1. Visit your sub account page (or in my case trial sub account) I accessed Instances and Subscriptions menu

2. Under Instances tab you can see list of instances in your BTP Sub account. Kindly locate instance related to "Workflow Service" and you can check existing scope item using "View Parameters" and you can use "Update" to add/modify scope items.

A typical scope item will be like this. Kindly refer to the relevant workflow documentation or API documentation in https://api.sap.com to find out which scope items needs to be included and update accordingly.

Let me know if this change resolves your issue.
