Authentication popup for OData service in SAP Gateway Client [ 401 Not authorized ]

Hi Experts,

I am facing a basic authentication popup in the gateway client while testing my custom service.

Although the ICF node of this service has a "System" user set in its logon Data, it's asking for credentials.

after providing the same credentials, it's throwing a "401 Not authorized" error.

P.N.: The user has all the required roles and the same setup is working perfectly in other subsequent clients in the landscape. The trusted RFC connection of type "Internal" is working perfectly. It's an embedded deployment landscape.

I have checked the available solutions in the forum. But unfortunately, nothing is working out.

Kindly help in resolving the same.

Thanks,

Manoj

Hi Manoj,

In ICF node under logon data tab. Change the procedure type to Standard from Required with Logon Data. It will work. If not logout and then try replicating the issue.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Madhu,

Unfortunately, this is not the requirement. it has to run with the mentioned login credentials.
